Our client in the transport and logistics industry is looking for an experienced National Training Manager/ SDF to join their team.

Requirements:

  • Matric.
  • Relevant qualification in Human Resources/ Learning & development field.
  • At least 8 years experience in learning & development with hands on experience in each of the below-mentioned elements.
  • Proven track record in dealing with relevant TETA SETA and obtaining special grants.
  • Proven experience in launching and managing learnership & internship programmes.
  • Proven track record of facilitation skills relating to both technical (product knowledge) and soft skills.
  • Ability to travel within South Africa.
  • Clear criminal record.

Duties:

  • Oversee and present monthly induction program to all new staff, in person in the academy, and ensure regional new appointees join virtually.
  • Liaising with TETA SETA.
  • Managing Skills Programmes and Learnerships.
  • Ensure all administration relating to Learnership and Internship programs are in place
  • Execute all tasks related to the skills development facilitator.
  • Compiling and submission of TETA Workplace Approval Documentation i.e. WSP + ATR.
  • Ensure timeous submission of mandatory and discretionary grant applications with SAEPA and TETA SETA.
  • Ensure timeous submission of Pivotal Grant Applications and Bursary Applications to TETA and SAEPA.
  • Scheduling and booking of outsourced training.
  • Regularly revise SOP for the training department.
  • Prepare and manage the approved training budget.
  • Updating the skills matrix monthly.
  • Weekly, monthly, and yearly training reports.
  • Updating BBBEE skills data monthly.
  • Assist with disciplinary hearings.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in proactively managing valid accreditation of all representative committee members.
  • Ensure all forklift drivers always have valid licenses and schedule training pro-actively, to ensure no expiry of their licenses, nationally.
  • Assist Technical Training Specialist in developing training material.

Willing to work extra-ordinary hours (morning training/evening training/ over the weekend to ensure operational efficiencies are not impacted).
